J&K High Court Extends Manual Acceptance of ACB Challans Till July 31

Srinagar,  KNT: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has extended the arrangement for manual acceptance of challans filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) till July 31, 2026, citing continuing bottlenecks in the online submission process.

According to an order issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma, the extension has been granted in continuation of an earlier High Court order dated April 23, 2026, and will remain subject to the same terms and conditions already in force.

The decision highlights persisting technical or procedural hurdles in the transition to online filing of challans, an important component of the judicial system’s ongoing digitization efforts.

The order makes it clear that no further extension will be granted beyond July 31, 2026. Authorities concerned have been directed to resolve all bottlenecks affecting the online portal before the deadline.

The Registrar General stated that stakeholders must utilize the extended period to ensure that issues relating to electronic submission of challans are addressed and that the system becomes fully functional.

The extension is expected to ensure that legal proceedings involving ACB cases continue without disruption while efforts are made to streamline the online filing mechanism. [KNT]
