Forest Department Employee Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest at Doodhpathri

Srinagar,  KNT: A Forest Department employee died after suffering a cardiac arrest while visiting the tourist destination of Doodhpathri in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The deceased has been identified as Muzamil Iqbal Wagay, a resident of Hanan Abad, Maloora, Srinagar, who was serving in the Urban Forestry Division of the Forest Department.

Officials said Wagay complained of severe chest pain while at Doodhpathri and subsequently collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

His sudden death has come as a shock to his family, colleagues and acquaintances.

Wagay was currently posted with the Urban Forestry Division and had been serving in the department for several years.

He is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters and his parents.

A large number of people, including Forest Department officials, employees, relatives and local residents, attended his funeral prayers at his native area in Maloora. [KNT]
