PDD Lineman Dies of Electrocution During Repair Work in Bandipora

Bandipora, KNT: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman lost his life after receiving an electric shock while carrying out routine repair work near Garoora Crossing in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ismail, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Galkaloo Garoora, Bandipora.

Officials said the lineman sustained a severe electric shock while attending to repair work. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Bandipora, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while further proceedings have been initiated. [KNT]
