President Droupadi Murmu Arrives In Republic Of Moldova

President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in the Republic of Moldova on the first leg of her three-nation visit to Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania.

On her arrival at Chisinau International Airport, she was warmly received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Mihai Popsoi. President Murmu was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Presidential Palace in Chisinau and was warmly received by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

Bilateral talks between President Droupadi Murmu and President Maia Sandu are currently underway. The two leaders are holding a one-on-one meeting, followed by delegation-level talks. The discussions are expected to focus on further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, culture and people-to-people ties.

President Murmu’s visit is significant, as it marks the first-ever visit by an Indian president to Moldova, underscoring the growing partnership between the two countries.
