Air India Launches Easy Connect Service From Amritsar To 27 Global Destinations

Punjab has been connected with 27 global destinations across North America, UK, Europe and Australia with the launch of Air India’s ‘Easy Connect’ hub-and-spoke model at Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport, Amritsar, today.

Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, while launching the hub, said that it’s an important scheme of the government for the aviation sector, as it would ease the travelling of international passengers from their state to the international destinations.
With the launch, two daily ‘Easy Connect’ flights have been operationalised from Amritsar.
Passengers travelling on such flights of Air India are required to complete certain pre-departure and transit processes to ensure a seamless journey, including mandatory Digi Yatra enrolment for Indian nationals. Indian passport holders connecting internationally on Easy Connect flights are required to enrol in Digi Yatra.
Bookings for Air India’s Easy Connect flights are available across all channels, including Air India’s website, mobile app, contact centre, and travel agents.
