GI-Tagged Mithila Makhana Exported From Bihar To Australia For First Time: Union Minister Piyush Goyal

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has informed that 18 metric tonnes of GI-tagged Mithila Makhana were exported for the first time from Bihar to Australia.

In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that this consignment, procured directly from farmers in Darbhanga, has provided them with nearly 18 percent more profit compared to the market price. He added that this milestone was achieved with the support of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.
