Government Notifies 11 More International Ports For E-Visa Holders

The Government has notified 11 more International Ports, enabling foreign nationals holding e-visas to enter India. The Home Ministry said the notification includes 9 land ports and 2 airports. These include airports at Bhopal and Tirupati and land ports at Attari and Agartala.

The Ministry said the addition of these ports further enhances the attractiveness and utility of electronic visas. It noted that India processes approximately 95 per cent of e-visa applications in less than 72 hours. With the latest addition, the total number of International Ports enabling entry of foreign nationals holding e-visas has increased to 88, including 37 airports, 38 seaports and 13 land ports.
