IMD Issues Red Warning For Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall In Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh for today. The Met Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh for the next two days.

The weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall conditions in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha and West Rajasthan for today. Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail over the North Eastern Region today. The IMD has also forecast thunderstorms over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next 2 to 3 days.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are expected to prevail over Andhra Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Bihar till the 16th of this month. It added that Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal, Sikkim, West Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand are also likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds for the next two to three days.
