HM Amit Shah And Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Pay Tributes To Ahilyabai Holkar On Her Death Anniversary

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today paid tributes to social reformer Ahilyabai Holkar on her death anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Ahilyabai Holkar made unparalleled contributions to the preservation and restoration of heritage, ranging from the renovation and reconstruction of temples to the development of pilgrimage sites.
The Home Minister added that by empowering women through the promotion of female education and widow remarriage, Ahilyabai Holkar set an ideal for public welfare, justice, and good governance.
On the occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Ahilyabai Holkar exemplified an extraordinary model of people-centric governance, indomitable courage, and adept administration. Mr Singh said that she took numerous vital steps for the livelihood and welfare of society’s deprived and tribal communities.
The Defence Minister emphasised that her life is an inspiring saga of justice, good governance, women’s empowerment, public welfare, and the preservation of India’s cultural heritage.
