IMD Predicts Thunderstorms, Lightning And Gusty Winds Over Several States Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for very heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh today. The IMD forecast heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and parts of North East India till tomorrow.

The Met Department also predicted thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Karnataka, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, and Tamil Nadu during the day. Similar weather conditions are expected over Jammu-Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands till tomorrow.

Meanwhile, rain continues to bring relief from the heat in several parts of the national capital, with many areas witnessing rainfall since last night. The weather has turned pleasant, with cloudy conditions prevailing across Delhi. According to the Weather Agency, the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to remain between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius today, while the minimum temperature is expected to hover around 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.
