Nagaland Governor & CM Extend Greetings On Teachers’ Day Today

Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to teachers and the teaching fraternity across the state on Teachers’ Day today. In his message, Governor Yadav described teaching as a sacred calling.

He urged teachers to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, commitment, and a proactive approach. He stressed the important role of teachers in shaping future generations. He called upon them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, integrity, and dedication.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said the role of teachers goes beyond teaching. He said teachers also guide, encourage, and inspire students. Mr Rio expressed gratitude to teachers for their dedication and for making a difference in the lives of students and communities.

He urged teachers to rededicate themselves to educating and nurturing the next generation. The State-Level Teachers’ Day celebration will be held at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground. Eleven teachers will be conferred the State-Level Teachers’ Award 2026 during the programme.
