Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Extends Greetings On Hartalika Teej

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has extended his greetings to the citizens on the occasion of Hartalika Teej today. In a social media post, Mr Birla said that the festival symbolises good fortune and unbreakable marital love. He added that the festival is associated with Goddess Parvati’s unwavering penance, resolve, and the worship of Lord Shiva.

The Lok Sabha Speaker emphasised that amidst nature adorned with greenery, the festival of Teej conveys the message of remaining sensitive to nature alongside the cultural traditions. He also wished that the grace of Goddess Gauri and Lord Shiva bring good fortune, happiness, peace, and prosperity into everyone’s lives, and that the earth remains lush green, healthy, and prosperous forever.
