India Beat Afghanistan By 7 Wickets In Second T20I To Take Unassailable 2-Nil Lead In 3-Match Series

In Men’s Cricket, India defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in the second T20 International at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi last night, to take an unassailable 2-nil lead in the three-match series.

Chasing a target of 160 runs, India comfortably reached 163 for 3 in 14.5 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored with a blistering 57 off 22 balls, while Abhishek Sharma contributed 39 runs off 19 balls. Ishan Kishan remained unbeaten on 38 off 23 balls to guide India home.
Earlier, put into bat, Afghanistan posted 159 for 8 in their stipulated 20 overs. Captain Ibrahim Zadran was their top scorer, making 37 runs off 33 balls. For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy claimed three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh took two wickets.
Reddy was adjudged Player of the Match. India had won the toss and elected to field. The third and final match of the series will be played at the same venue in Delhi tomorrow.
