No BDS doctor recruitment since 2008, phased hiring under consideration: Health Minister

Srinagar,  KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Government is considering phased recruitment of BDS doctors after no recruitment in the cadre since 2008, Health Minister Sakina Itoo told the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

Itoo said the Health Department had examined the issue and forwarded it to the Finance Department for consideration.

“The government will consider phased recruitment based on availability of funds,” the minister said.

The statement came in response to a query in the Legislative Assembly regarding recruitment of BDS doctors in Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
