Jammu Police Book Man Under NDPS Act After Suspected Heroin Recovery

Jammu, KNT: Jammu Police recovered approximately 7–8 grams of a heroin-like substance from a person during naka checking in the Industrial Area, Gangyal, officials said.

The accused, identified as Vinal Soni, was intercepted during the checking, following which the suspected contraband was recovered from his possession.

In connection with the recovery, FIR No. 109/2026 has been registered under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Police said the investigation into the case is underway and further details will follow as the investigation progresses. [KNT]
