India To Face Uruguay In FIFA International Friendly Match In Kolkata Today
India and Uruguay will face each other today in a FIFA international friendly football match at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Salt Lake. India had earlier played out a 1-1 draw against Panama and suffered a 0-4 defeat to Brazil on Saturday. Learning from the mistakes of their previous match, the Indian team will be looking to put up a strong performance against two-time world champions Uruguay in their final friendly. India coach Khalid Jamil said there was a lack of coordination among the players in the last match. He said the players will remain alert from the very first minute against Uruguay.
Uruguay coach Diego Forlán, meanwhile, said India have several skilled players capable of putting their opponents under pressure. He added that Uruguay are not taking the Indian team lightly.
