17-Year-Old Girl from Pakistan-Held Kashmir Repatriated Through Chakkan Da Bagh
Poonch, KNT: A 17-year-old girl from Pakistan-held Kashmir, who had crossed the Line of Control in the Nowshera sector earlier this month, was repatriated to Pakistan through the Chakkan Da Bagh crossing in Poonch on Wednesday after completion of the required legal formalities.
The girl, identified as Samiya Azeem, daughter of Mohammad Azeem and a resident of Bains Gala, Seri, in Khuiretta tehsil of Kotli district, was apprehended by personnel of 6/1 Gorkha Rifles on October 2 after she crossed into the Indian side.
Following completion of the necessary formalities, police and Army personnel escorted her from Police Post Lam to Chakkan Da Bagh, where she was repatriated through the designated crossing point.
The repatriation was carried out after completion of the prescribed procedures in coordination with the concerned authorities. [KNT]
