West Indies Beat India By 6 Wickets In Second T20I To Level Five-Match Series To 1-1
In Men’s Cricket, the West Indies defeated India by six wickets in the second T20 International in Ranchi last night, levelling the five-match series to 1-1.
Chasing a target of 250 runs, West Indies overhauled the score, posting 252 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.3 overs, winning the match with nine balls to spare. Captain Shai Hope led from the front with a magnificent 102 off 45 balls, while Sherfane Rutherford’s 84 off 37 set the chase alight.
Earlier, put in to bat, India posted a formidable total of 249 for five in stipulated 20 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored for India with a brilliant 82 off 41 balls. Ishan Kishan with 43 off 22 balls also made a valuable contribution. Hope was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The third T20 International between India and West Indies will be played in Indore tomorrow. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 PM.
