Educationist Pooja Dhar exhorts families to encourage its women to achieve their targets

Jammu, March 07, 2022: On March 8 the world is observing International Day for Women to
celebrate the womanhood, women empowerment and the achievements of great women all over
the world.

In this connection The Right News has also begun a series of interviews with the women achievers of
the state to celebrate their achievements and know their view point on the changing times for the
women in the state and on global level.

Here Bharati Koul talks to Mrs. Pooja Dhar, an educationist and tries to know her views about the
women empowerment on #InternationalWomensDay2022.

Pooja Dhar has a degree in MCA, MA Sociology, and B.Ed. and is currently working as TGT Social
Science at Vishwa Bharati Public School, NOIDA.

Mrs. Dhar belongs to Kokernag area of Anantnag District and after completing her basic education
from local schools completed her higher studies from University of Jammu

Earlier she worked as General Line Teacher with Education Department J&K Govt but left the job
after marriage and shifted to NOIDA.

Talking about the difference in teaching in a government school in J&K and that of an NCR Pooja
believes that there is a lot of difference between teaching in Jammu and teaching in NOIDA as
NOIDA being NCR has got big exposure and teachers learn a lot from students as well as the regular
educational activities happening in the bigger city.

However, she elaborates that even though Jammu is a small city, still the students here have got
huge potential but lack exposure of the big cities adding that there is difference between the
educational system of state board and the CBSE.

On observing International or National Women days to celebrate the womanhood and their
achievements Pooja Dhar believes that women should be remembered everyday as they are more
hardworking and work more than men saying there is no holiday for women and even Sundays are
working days for the women.

Comparing women with strength she says that women are the representation of ‘Shakti’ and have
the power the create a new life hence it becomes the duty of every woman to realise her potential
and work hard to achieve what she desires.

Pooja Dhar also believes that it is imperative upon every male member of the society whether he is a
Father, Brother, Husband or Son to not only encourage women to achieve their goals but also help
them in competing and removing the traditional bottlenecks from their path.

She says that it is the family that shapes the career or future of a women as the way family treats its
women depicts how well she can realise her dreams adding even otherwise where there is no family
support, women have proved that when they decide something they have the power to achieve
their targets.

Her advice to the families, government and the society is that women should be encouraged in real
sense rather than keeping this encouragement reserved for some special days like women’s days
and other functions.
