Sensex declines 274 points; Nifty down by 76 points

The Sensex and the Nifty today fell around half a per cent in the afternoon trade. Both stock indices logged losses even as the cues from global share markets were positive. The Sensex was trading near 58,000 mark while the Nifty was trading near 17,300 level.

The Sensex declined 274 points, or 0.47 per cent, to trade at 58,077. The Nifty also fell 76 points, or 0.43 per cent, to trade at 17,313 when the reports last came in.
