2 teachers suspended, action against 4 teachers for unauthorized absenteeism

In the last month, the Directorate School Education Department Kashmir has suspended two teachers and terminated another for remaining unauthorized absence from duties.

Further, a showcase notice has been sent to two teachers, while one has given final notice.

As per the order issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, a teacher from Government Middle School Rifat Jan was found un-authorizedly absent from duties. After being found unauthorized absent, the department then placed Rifat under suspension and was attached to Chief Education Officer’s office in Srinagar with immediate effect.

Further, the Deputy Chief Education Officer Srinagar has been directed to conduct an inquiry in this regard.
In another order, DSEK has terminated a teacher at Government Middle School Kanihama Budgam, Ruqia Rubeen. Ruquia, Teacher GMS Kanihama Budgam, who is unauthorizedly absent from duties from her legitimate duties is hereby placed under suspension and is attached with Chief Education Officer Budgam with immediate effect.

Further, the Principal Higher Secondary School Wager Budgam shall however inquire into the matter and submit the findings with his recommendation to the office, the order reads.
Further, the DSEK has taken action against Nargis Ara, Teacher MS Kralweth Zone Kunzer District Baramulla who applied for voluntary retirement w.e.f 01/03/2021. Her case was forwarded by the Chief Education officer Baramulla to this office vide letter No. CEO/Bla/Estt/T/3739 dated: 15/06/2021 for necessary action.

Whereas, upon examination of the case the teacher has been found guilty of remaining un-authorizedly absent from her duties w.e.f 22/06/2014 till date.

 

The cursory perusal of her service records from 12/10/2009 to 01/07/2018 indicates that out of 09 years, she has attended office only for 07 years, remaining absent un-authorizedly for more than 07 years, which speaks volumes about the seriousness of the subject teacher towards Govt. duties for which she has drawn emoluments from Govt. exchequer.

The committee recommended that the official, Nargis be removed from services in terms of Articles 128 & 113 of Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30(V11), 33, 35 of J&KCCA rules 1956. The teacher has been terminated.

At the same time, a showcase notice has been sent to Bilquees Hassan, teacher of Boys High School Harran Ganderbal and Kiranjeet Kour, teacher of Boys Public School Delina Ghat Zone Singhpora Baramulla. A notice has been sent to Mohammad Hayat, teacher of High School Falchil Budgam.
