Sensex climbs 463 points; Nifty rises 150 points in afternoon trade

The Sensex and the Nifty yesterday, April 28 gained more than half a percent in the afternoon trade. The index of top 30 companies at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, was trading above 61,100 points while Nifty, index of top 50 companies at the National Stock Exchange, was trading around 18,000 level.

Both stocks added amid mixed global cues. Yesterday, The Sensex climbed 463 points or 0.75 percent to trade at 61,112. The Nifty also rose 150 points or 0.85 percent to trade at 18,065 when reports last came in.
