Earthquake strikes Chenab Valley
An earthquake struck Jammu Kashmir’s Chenab Valley on Tuesday, sending tremors throughout New Delhi and parts of Northern India. The quake was also felt across the border.
The quake had a 5.4 magnitude and its epicenter was in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir where some buildings developed cracks, according to the National Center for Seismology. The quake was at a depth of 3.7 miles.
Locals sources said that in Doda, many people fled their homes and offices due to powerful shocks.
