Union Minister Anurag Thakur seeks support of all people to make Country Sporting Super Bharat in 2047
In Karnataka, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur, sought the support of all the people to make the Country a Sporting Super Bharat in 2047. He was speaking after facilitating the champion athletes at Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru on 23 Dec 2023, Saturday. Emphasising the success of Khelo India, he attributed it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision

The Minister called upon the people especially, the former athletes to register in the My Bharat portal and use this platform to encourage the youngsters from the remote areas in our country to come forward. He highlighted how the Central Government has provided a platform for talented players to showcase their skills internationally, compatible with global standards
He remarked that in the last two years, India won the highest medals in all the International Sports events. The Minister added that the Government has also increased the budget allocation three times higher in the last nine years.
Mr. Thakur also inaugurated the newly built blocks of the Boys and Girls Hostel and the new Synthetic Track in the Centre.
Earlier, he interacted with NCOE athletes, including the Indian junior Women’s Hockey team and inspected new facilities like the Synthetic Track, Gymnasium, and Mess in the Centre.
