Body of Missing Child Found After Suspected Leopard Attack in Kulgam
The body of a minor who went missing on Wednesday night in Birinil Devsar village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam was recovered by search teams.
According to Wildlife Officials, a 3-year-old kid was suspected to have been attacked by a leopard. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, prompting locals and family members to launch a frantic search.
“A search operation was initiated immediately after the child was reported missing,” said Imtiyaz Naik, Incharge, Wildlife department, Kulgam. “Unfortunately, we have recovered the child’s body.”
The victim’s family and locals had suspected a leopard attack due to previous incidents in the area. [KNT]

Kupwara, Oct 24, KNT: In a successful anti-narcotics operation, Kupwara Police apprehended a suspect and recovered a substantial quantity of charas-like substance.
Police said that during a checkpoint inspection near B.Ed College crossing in Drugmulla, police noticed a suspicious individual attempting to flee. Quick action led to the arrest of Khursheed Hajam, a Kupwara resident.
A thorough search revealed the contraband, which was seized in accordance with the law. A case has been registered under relevant sections of law, said the police.
