Govt Forms Panel to Oversee Handover of Centaur Hotel to Private Firm

Srinagar, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned the formation of a high-level committee to oversee the handover of the Centaur Lake View Hotel Srinagar to Lago Vue Srinagar Private Limited, under a formal concession agreement.

According to a government order, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir will head the committee, which includes senior officials from multiple departments. The panel is responsible for ensuring the handover is completed in a time-bound and coordinated manner.

Key departments such as Revenue, Public Works, Culture, Horticulture, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, SMC, LAWDA, SKICC, Royal Springs Golf Course, and the Forest Department have been assigned specific tasks ranging from inventory documentation, land demarcation, utility assessments, and safeguarding heritage items.

The Tourism Department will oversee the entire process, ensuring transparency, coordination, and timely execution of the handover as per the agreement. [KNT]
