Union Minister Pralhad Joshi To Inaugurate Two Major Solar Power Parks In Madhya Pradesh

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate two major solar power parks in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch and Shajapur today. Mr. Joshi, along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will launch a 500 megawatt solar park in Neemuch and a 450 megawatt solar park in Shajapur. State New and Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla will also be present at the event.

Union Minister Joshi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Minister Shukla will also witness the signing of a power purchase agreement for the 440 megawatt Morena Solar Plus Storage project in Bhopal. According to the state government, this is the state’s first solar energy storage project to secure a rate of 2.70 Rupee per unit, which is the lowest in the country.

During the event, Mr. Joshi will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various industrial units and development projects worth around 1,500 crore rupees.
