Wild Cosmos Blanket Bhaderwah’s Manthala Hills, Add Colour to Autumn Landscape
Bhaderwah, KNT: Manthala Hills in Bhaderwah, situated at an altitude of around 8,000 feet, have turned vibrant with the seasonal bloom of wild cosmos, locally adding a burst of colour to the valley’s autumn landscape.
The flowers, blooming in shades of pink, white, magenta and orange, have appeared along stretches of the Bhaderwah–Jaie road, drawing the attention of locals and nature enthusiasts visiting the area.
Tourism strategist Rashid Choudhary said Bhaderwah’s diverse floral landscape, ranging from wild foxglove and other seasonal blooms to cultivated lavender and marigold, offers scope for developing flower-based tourism in the region.
He called for greater promotion of Bhaderwah’s floral heritage as part of efforts to showcase the area’s natural attractions and draw visitors beyond the conventional tourism season. [KNT]
