Ramban Imposes One-Way Traffic System for Commercial Vehicles in Town, Loading Banned During Daytime

Ramban,  KNT: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan has imposed a regulated traffic movement system for commercial passenger vehicles and load carriers in Ramban town for two months, aiming to ease persistent congestion and ensure smoother movement of traffic.

Under the new arrangements, commercial passenger vehicles, including sumos, buses, minibuses and other passenger vehicles, will be allowed to enter Ramban town from the designated side and proceed via Bowli Bazaar towards T-Chowk, Bus Stand and Cafeteria Chowk.

The vehicles will have to exit through the designated route, while no load carrier or commercial passenger vehicle will be permitted to enter Bus Stand from the Cafeteria Chowk end.

The Deputy Commissioner has also directed that loading and unloading of goods vehicles within the notified stretches will remain strictly prohibited between 8 AM and 8 PM.

The restrictions have been introduced in view of traffic congestion in Ramban town, particularly around the Bus Stand area, where heavy vehicular movement has been causing inconvenience to commuters and the general public.

The order will remain in force for two months from November 4, 2026, or until further directions, whichever is earlier. Authorities have been directed to ensure its implementation. [KNT]
