LG delegates financial powers to RDD officers
Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has delegated his financial powers vis-à-vis accord of administrative approval for development works up to Rs.15 lakh to the officers of the Rural Development Department.

The step will further boost development activities in the rural areas of the UT, as the officers will be empowered to make payment for already sanctioned works. The step will also clear the payment backlog of the projects already completed.
The notification issued by financial commissioner finance department/additional chief secretary (ACS) Atal Dulloo said in exercise of the powers conferred under section 67 of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, the Lieutenant Governor, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to delegate his Financial Powers to accord Administrative Approval in favour of the Officers of RDD.
The administrative approval has been granted to RDD officers to the extent that Additional District Development Commissioner can accord sanction upto Rs.15 lakh, Assistant Commissioner Development upto 10 Lakh, District Panchyat Officer upto 5 Lakh and Block Development Officer upto 2 lakh.
However the officers can only accord approval on the condition that hat work has been approved in Capex/ Revenue component of Budget and funds are available.
