Congress grieved over demise of Bashir Ahmed Sheikh party’s block president
Describes him a dedicated, honest party leader ; Condolence meeting held at Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, AUGUST 27: Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the passing away of Senior Congress leader and President Block Congress Committee, Thakrie, Kishtwar, Congress today described the deceased in a condolence meeting held at Kishtwar as a dedicated congress man, saying his demise is a great loss to Party in Kishtwar district.
A meeting was held under the leadership of Vice President J&K Congress, G. M Saroori and condoled the passing away of Bashir sahib and recalled the services rendered by Bashir Ahmed Sheikh sahib to Congress Party.
Among others Raj Kumar Badyal, Advocate Asif Naqeeb, Tariq Ahmed Mintoo, Gulam Hussain Shah, Wassim Saroori, Surjeet Singh Badyal, Shanker Wazir, Ranjeet Sharma, Ali Modh, Vijay Shan, Thakur Sharvan Badyal, Bashir Bhagwan, Shakel Ahmed Dev, Mohit Singh Sen, Akshey Goswami, Ashwani Kumar, Pawan Bhandari, Gulam Nabi, Ranjeet Singh, Qazi Mouzin Jahan, Mehraj Din Bagwan, Tariq Hussain Zargar, Jaffer Hussain Lone, Mohd Wazir Zargar and others.
They described his passing away as very unfortunate and expressed heartfelt condolences to bereaved family. They termed the deceased as a man of commitment and conviction, who always remained committed to the cause of strengthening the Party from grass roots levels they added and said the deceased will always be remembered for his dedication and honesty.
They also offered deepest condolences to bereaved family and sympathized with them and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.
Earlier Mr. Saroori also joined his burial amidst large number of people in his native village, yesterday.
