No payment of Doordarshan pending for recovery from producers of TV serials: I&B Minister Anurag Thakur

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has said that no payment of Doordarshan is pending for recovery from the producers of TV serials.

In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, he said that Doordarshan sells time slots in its channels to interested accredited agencies to air sponsored programmes on those slots in compliance with the programme code of Doordarshan. Minister said that commercial disputes arising from such accredited agencies are in various stages of arbitration. Prasar Bharati Board has also approved steps to settle such disputes from time to time.
