Mega blood donation drive starts at World’s Highest Rail Bridge

With high enthusiasm, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Afcons Infrastructure Limited in association with GMCH-Jammu, Dept. of Blood Transfusion GMC, IRCS, JKSACS, ISBTI, NGO SUPPORT-A Global Volunteer Society at World’s Highest Rail Bridge inaugurating the Mega blood donation drive in J&K & to mark an Engineers Day The Volunteer Blood Donation included donors of Afcons Employee, Konkan, Northern Railway, CRPF, Local residents and Sub-contractor Staff. Volunteers felt highly Humbled and grateful for their Nobel contribution to save various precious life in the Divine’s purpose.

Dr. Vijay Sawhney Former HOD Blood transfusion Department GMC-Jammu along with Dr. Navneet Kaur Secty. General Indian Society for Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology, Chairperson NGO SUPPORT congratulated and motivated donors on the overall Health benefits of voluntary blood donation camp and appreciated the steps taken by Afcons Infrastructure Limited for holding the Camp at such a remote place! Y. Tagore, Project Manager Afcons Infrastructure Limited while speaking to the audiences thanked Dr. Meena Sidhu the present HOD Blood transfusion Department, Team GMCH-Jammu, JKSACS, ISBTI and NGO SUPPORT Global Volunteer Society for their co-ordinated efforts in making the Camp a grand success at such hilly and far flung areas. He emphasised to arrange such blood donation camp in future also. The Medical officer Dr. Sohail Goni stated that, “Lifesaving blood donations remain essential for hospital patients in need of emergency and medical care that can’t wait.
