RDD Kashmir asks DDO to draw salaries of PM package employees
The Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir has directed officers to draw the pending salary of the Prime Minster (PM) Package and other minority employees on a priority basis.
Several representatives of Prime Minister Package employees in the month of September this year met officials of the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department regarding the release of salaries. The representatives stated their salaries have not been drawn since “June 2022”. The employees have asked the officials to take up the matter.
The matter was taken by Under Secretary to the Government, Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Rural Development Department of Kashmir with the Director of Rural Development Department of Kashmir.
“I am directed to invite your kind attention towards the subject and request you to sort out the issue on priority and pass necessary instructions to all Drawing and Disbursing Officers to release withheld salaries in favour of the migrant/minority employees under norms and share action taken report with this department within a week’s time”, read the letter.
The matter was later taken up by K K Sidha, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir up with the Secretary Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department.
This office has received a representation from PM Package Employees, wherein, they have represented that their salaries have not been drawn since June 2022, the details of the department/offices which have not been drawn their salaries. This issue may please be taken up with the appropriate authorities for necessary redressal, read another official communiqué.
Meanwhile, referring to the Assistant Commissioner of Development of Kashmir, a letter has been forwarded by the Section Officer (Adm) Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir for the release of salary with respect to the PM Package and other minority employees.
“I am directed to forward the Administrative Department’s letter number dated 29-9-2022 along-with enclosure, with the request to sort the salary issues of the employees mentioned in the subject priority basis and direct DDOs of your district to draw and disburse the salary of PM Package employees and other minority employees under norms and share the action taken with the Directorate within three days, so that administrative department is apprised accordingly”, it reads.
