Govt to purchase 16 Mobile FSL vans

The Jammu and Kashmir government is all set to purchase 16 Mobile Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) vans with crime scene processing equipment’s.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the purchase of 16 Mobile FSL Vans with Crime Scene Processing Equipments for districts at the cost of IRS. 320.00 lacs (Rs. 20.00 lakh each), sanctioned by MHA, Gol vide No. 17012/2/2021-K.II (IV) dated: 10.05.2021, by the Director Forensic Science Laboratory, J&K”, reads the order issued by Home Department.

This sanction is subject to the fulfillment of following conditions that the purchase shall be affected through SMG and no post of driver shall be created for manning these vehicles.

The purchase of vehicles shall be made as per the approval of the MHA, Gol conveyed vide sanction ibid. The purchase shall be made after ascertaining reasonability of rates as most economical.

The purchase shall be made strictly as per norms and GFR-2017. The funds shall be utilized for the purpose for which these have been released and no parking/ diversion/ re-appropriation of funds at any level shall be allowed.

UC’s/Red accounts are furnished to all the concerned quarters and Principal Accountant General (A&E), J&K within the prescribed time limit. The Accounts Officer, FSL, J&K shall vouchsafe the availability of funds under the scheme.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority (Chief Secretary, J&K) and concurrence Of the Finance Department, J&K issued vide No. FD-BDGTOD-2/6/2021-03-FINANCE DEPARTMENT dated: 03.11.2022, reads the order issued by Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner,(Additional Chief Secretary) Home Department.
