Sensex, Nifty witness gains of more than half a percent

The Sensex and the Nifty on Wednesday witnessed gains of more than half a percent in the afternoon trade. Both stocks added amid positive global cues.

The Sensex was trading above the 61,000 mark while the Nifty was trading above the 18,150 level.

The Sensex gained 360 points to trade at 61,020 The Nifty also rose 100 points to trade at 18,156.
