Approval to the procurement of 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft is an important decision- PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Security of giving approval to the procurement of 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft as important.

Responding to a tweet by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Prime Minister said that it will add strength to the ongoing efforts to make the country’s defence sector self-reliant and also benefit the vibrant MSME sector.

Mr. Modi said that another decision of giving the approval to sign a contract for the acquisition of three  Cadet Training Ships would cater to the training requirements of the Navy and would strengthen it further.
