Bhajan sandhya was organised by J&K Academy of Art cultural languages to celebrate Gandhi jayanti.
In connection with Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a
Bhajan Sandhya here at K.L. Saigal Hall Jammu . Prof. Anupama Sharma, renowned artists of the Jammu and
Kashmir was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
At the very outset Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum Cultural officer, JKAACL, welcomed the guests on behalf of
secretary JKAACL, Sh. Bharat Singh, JKAS, under whose guidance these programs are being organized. He said that these programs are aimed to connect one to its cultural roots.
The program began with the kabir’s Bhajan sung by the renowned artist Marina Jamwal. This was followed by the bhajans by Vanshika Jaral. She enthralled the audience with her melodious voice. After this Vishal Gupta
presented Kabir Bhajans bhajans. The program concluded with the bhajans sung by the renowned artist of the
Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Suraj Singh. These singers were equally supported by musicians like rakesh Anand on
flute, so these Sharma on synth, shivinder on guitar and amit Anand on tabla. The bhajans were composed by
the famous writer, artists, musician of Jammu and Kashmir Sh.Prithvi Raj Sharma. The program was ably
conducted by Ms. Bindiya Raina Tikku.
