Polling for 5th LAHDC Kargil Election scheduled to be held today

In Ladakh, Polling for the 5th LAHDC Kargil Election is scheduled to be held today with 87 candidates trying their luck for 26 constituencies. Polling will be held at 278 polling stations and every polling station will be supervised by 4 Polling Officers and a total of 1112 Employees will be engaged in these stations with a 25 per cent reserve employees. It is for the first time that Elections for LAHDC Kargil will be held through EVM using M2 Type Machines.

To conduct the elections smoothly security arrangements have been made properly with identifying polling stations normal, sensory and highly sensitive and even used CCTV Cameras in some of the Polling stations. It’s expected to see a huge turnout for the elections.
