By 2047, India will have 4,500 Vande Bharat trains running across country, Union Minister says
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today said that by 2047, India will have 4,500 Vande Bharat trains running across the country.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the first section of the Bullet train will start within three years. He added, the Indian government would also be working towards ensuring the carbon emission from trains is reduced to net zero in the coming years.

Mr. Scindia said, government has given special focus on Infrastructure since 2014, under which the Railway budget in 2013-14 was 29000 crore rupees and now it is 2 lakh 40,000 crore rupees. He added that PM Gatishakti from 2021 has brought Ministries including Railways and Roadways together for integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects.
The Union Minister said there was a lack of vision and leadership in the country and the coming of PM Narendra Modi, the minister India embarked on a new phase of growth from 2014 onwards. He added that 10 Lakh crore capital expenditure project is underway across the country.
