Income Tax department raided Shamshergunj and Sagardighi houses of Congress MLA Byron Biswas

The Income Tax department has raided the Shamshergunj and Sagardighi houses of Congress MLA Byron Biswas in Murshidabad district of West Bengal today on the charges of evasion of Income Tax. The raid started in the morning. The offices of the MLA in Birbhum and Murshidabad districts are also being raided by the IT officials.

Byron Biswas and his close associates are being interrogated by the IT personnel’s. The schools, mills and hospitals of Byron Biswas are also being searched at the moment.  Byron Biswas was elected as Congress MLA in the by-election of Sagardighi Assembly constituency. Later he joined Trinamool Congress in May 2023.
