SRTC Buses Barred from Entering Jahangir Chowk, Commuters Face Inconvenience

SRTC passenger buses were prohibited from entering Jahangir Chowk on Monday, leaving passengers stranded near Bemina.

With no option but to continue on foot, travelers destined for Jahangir Chowk and Lal Chowk, particularly students, faced significant inconvenience.

Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust, that the restriction was imposed due to the ongoing Assembly Session, preventing SRTC buses from passing through the civil secretariat.

Locals urged authorities to amend the directive and permit buses to enter Jahangir Chowk. [KNT]
