Will Examine Article 370 Resolution: Speaker

KNT: The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather Monday said that he will examine the resolution on Article 370 introduced by PDP’s Waheed Parra.

There was bedlam in the Assembly after BJP members led by Sunil Sharma opposed the resolution on Article 370 introduced by PDP legislature Waheed Parra.

Parra sought the restoration of Article 370 while congratulating the newly elected Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather. The BJP members demanded that the resolution should be outright dismissed. The Speaker informed the BJP members that he will examine it first and accordingly take a decision on it.

“This is my domain, let me examine this, and accordingly I will decide on the resolution,” Rather said and tried to pacify the BJP members. [KNT]
