Two minor students killed in Srinagar road accident, Speeding Thar hits a couple of vehicles before crash
KNT: A fatal road accident occurred on Tengapora Bypass road in Srinagar on Thursday, claiming the lives of two minor students from a prominent missionary school.
Eyewitnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that before the crash, a speeding Mahindra Thar (JK01AV-4477), driven by a minor, lost control and hit a Taveera passenger vehicle and then a tipper. All the three students on board sustained critical injuries.
The injured students were rushed to the hospital, where two were declared dead. The deceased have been identified as Hamaad Andrabi, a resident of Lal Bazar, Srinagar, and Muhammad Azeem of Anantnag, currently living in Rawalpora, Srinagar.
The third student is undergoing treatment. The Mahindra Thar was completely damaged, while the Taveera suffered partial damage.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
