Earthquake hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, Tremors felt in Kashmir
A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region late Thursday afternoon, sending tremors through Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the quake occurred at 4:19 PM, with its epicenter located at a depth of 209 km. The coordinates of the epicenter were 71.32°E longitude and 36.62°N latitude.
Although tremors were strongly felt in Jammu and Kashmir, no immediate reports of damage or loss of life were reported. [KNT]
