Soldier killed in Poonch landmine blast

An army soldier was killed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch’s Mandi area on Monday.
Defense sources identified the slain soldier as Havildar Subaish. They said that he was critically injured when he accidentally stepped on a mine during a routine patrol.
Despite immediate evacuation to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him dead. [KNT]
