Fire Erupts in Govt Quarter at Jawahar Nagar, Police Official Injured

Jammu, Jan 28, ANB: A fire broke out on Tuesday morning at a government residential quarter in the Jawahar Nagar area of Srinagar, resulting in injuries to a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Officials informed Associated News Bureau that the upper storey of the quarter sustained partial damage in the incident. The injured officer was immediately shifted to a local hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

Fire and Emergency Services promptly responded to the scene and, with assistance from local residents, managed to bring the flames under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the police have registered a case to determine the circumstances behind the incident. (ANB)
