Srinagar Police Observes International Day Against Drug Abuse with Awareness Drives, Community Outreach
Srinagar, ANB: In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Srinagar Police today organized a range of awareness programmes and community outreach activities across various Police Stations and Posts in the district.
The initiative aimed to sensitize the public, especially the youth, about the dangers of substance abuse and the pressing need to combat drug trafficking. Officers conducted interactive sessions, street plays, seminars, and rallies in collaboration with educational institutions and civil society members.
According to news service, Associated News Bureau, ANB, A key highlight of the day was a public discussion that shed light on the ill effects of drug addiction and reinforced the collective responsibility in tackling the menace. Senior officers, addressing participants, stressed the importance of a united front to fight drug abuse.
