Benchmark domestic equity indices trade around 0.5% up in afternoon session today

Benchmark domestic equity indices were trading around half a per cent up in the afternoon today. The Sensex rose 382 points to 78,876, while the Nifty added 115 points to 24,469 when reports last came in.

Sectorally, Power, PSU Bank, and Utilities were leading the gains, while Realty, IT and Telecommunication were bucking the trend.
