IMD Forecasts Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall Across Parts Of North, East And Northeast India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and West Uttar Pradesh during the day.

The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall conditions over Coastal Karnataka, East Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for the day.

Similar weather conditions are predicted over Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Madhya, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Uttarakhand today.

Meanwhile, moderate rainfall lashed several parts of the national capital this morning, bringing fresh weather and much-needed relief to residents. The IMD predicted cloudy sky with a spell of very light to light rain at many places with moderate rain at isolated places in the city during the day.
